#Tomas has epilepsy and I will die on this hill if I must

Headcanons for the Lin Kuei trio (Smoke childhood edition)

All random. Some good, some bad, and some very cute headcanons I have for Mr. Smog.

- Tomas sustained a pretty severe head injury during the night his family (and almost himself) was murdered- this is the scar on his forehead. This led to a traumatic brain injury, which showed up in the form of epilepsy. This showed up a few months after being adopted into the Lin Kuei.

- He grew out of the majority of it with time, medications, ect, however he still has lingering effects to this day that occasionally show up.

- It showed up initially with absence seizures, worsening into partials before he eventually had a full-blown seizure. Bi-Han and Kuai Liang initially started off playfully teasing Tomas when he'd “space off” or “act funny” only to both completely freak out when he seized fully one random Tuesday morning.

- Tomas was a very quiet, clingy child. He always wanted to be near someone (which usually ended up being his brothers).

- He was also incredibly stealthy- he very often gave his older brothers heart attacks by showing up randomly beside them when they least expected it.

- He would also bring them random ‘gifts’ that he thinks they'd like, like a cat. One Kuai Liang still teases Tomas to this day is when he showed up randomly with a wild snake he caught and gave it to Bi-Han after Kuai prompted him to. Bi-Han of course freaked out when the snake was randomly dropped into his lap.

- Due to his sheltered, ‘common’ life beforehand, Tomas hadn't experienced a lot of things before he met the Lin Kuei- movies, videogames, ect, they were all very new to him. Kuai Liang and Bi-Han were happy to show him. He loved all of it.

- Tomas grew his hair out a bit as a kid to try and mimic his older brothers. 

- His grey hair is actually curly, when grown out. Old photos of him has his hair almost covering his eyes entirely, down to his shoulders, curling in every direction. Kuai Liang thinks the pictures are cute though, even if they embarrass Tomas just to look at them. He thinks Tomas looked a little like a puff of smoke. Tomas thinks he just looked stupid.

I've been in the process of writing some childhood Lin Kuei stuff, and I've come to the conclusion that Tomas has epilepsy because I have epilepsy and that's that. People with epilepsy can still be cool ass warriors, which Tomas is, of course.
